Lille was a company-built coal mining community that, between 1901 & 1912, hosted a population that grew to over 400. The community was dismantled when the mine closed in 1912, and most of its structures were moved elsewhere. Today the site is an Alberta Provincial Historic Resource. It takes approximately 3 to 4 hours with beautiful creek crossings, waterfalls, an old cemetery and old remnants of life in the early 1900s. For cost & registration visit: Crowsnest Adventures

Join Joey Ambrosi on this exciting two-hour bus tour will take passengers on a time travel trip through Crowsnest Pass, a corridor between the prairies of present-day Alberta and the valleys of present-day British Columbia for thousands of years. Learn about First Nations groups that used the pass for generations. Hear stories about some of the first Europeans through the area, including Thomas Blakiston of the Palliser Expedition and later Michael Phillips. Find out more about Sam Steele and the NWMP and their journey through the mountains. The first airplane through the Rockies flew comfortably through the pass, while the first automobile through the Canadian Rockies battled the terrain. A railway crossed the pass connecting massive coal fields in SW Alberta and SE British Columbia with lucrative markets throughout Canada and beyond. Crowsnest Pass is a long-used corridor that has connected people and places and continues to do so today—limited seats. Cost: Free Frank Slide Interpretive Centre
